Neooffice Mac OS X Version
I opened a new spreadsheet followed by opening a new text document. You can see the File pulldown offers New > Text Document and New > Spreadsheet. Created in 2003 when there was no Mac OS X version of OpenOffice.org available, Patrick Luby and Ed Peterlin have devoted their decades of Mac software engineering experience to create an office suite that is adapted to the unique needs of Mac users. Here is a screen shot of a Neo Office window. NeoOffice is a full-featured set of office applications for Mac OS X.
If I have a spreadsheet open and then open a second, existing spreadsheet, both spreadsheets will be in tabs in a single window. New documents used to open in separate windows. In view is a blank text document, "Untitled 1", in Tab 2 unseen behind it in Tab 1 is a Blank Spreadsheet.
I have a 27" iMac with a 19" second monitor. NeoOffice 3.x and OpenOffice users: before you buy NeoOffice, we recommend that you click on the 'NeoOffice support' link and read the list of changes.I seldom use NeoOffice for anything but spreadsheets, but I do use spreadsheets almost daily. With NeoOffice, users can view, edit, and save OpenOffice documents, PDF files, and most Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.
The dialog boxes and menus use the Aqua interface from Mac. How does Libre Office compare?NeoOffice also makes use of Mac's spell-checker to check spelling, and Address Book as an information source. What is your take on Libre Office? I find NeoOffice charts to be very buggy. Maybe I should switch to Libre Office. When I have two spreadsheets open it's because I am working between them and want to see both at once.
(Again, I use LibreOffice, and that's where the user configuration is stored. If you have one there, that may be where the configuration is stored. Look for a NeoOffice folder.
Neooffice Install NeoOffice To
It's possible that you MAY need to reinstall NeoOffice to restore those files, but it should still remain at defaults, I am pretty sure about that.)[/QUOTEI had already looked in Library, Library/Application Support, and Library/Preferences and found nothing for NeoOffice.NeoOffice is based on OpenOffice and LibreOffice, and neither of them has tabs, but NeoOffice does have tabs. (I hope the reset fixes your issue. If things get worse for you, then remove whatever was created then, and move the original back into place. NOW, launch NeoOffice, and see if you can go forward from that point (I think it should be completely reset to defaults).
